Part 2 – Research Point

Brief – Read around the photographers above and try to track down some of the quotations. Find a photograph from your personal archive that illustrates one of the aesthetic codes.

Ansel Adams (American photographer), was born February 20th 1902, and died April 22nd 1984. He was the most important landscape photographer of the 20th century. The popularity of his work has only increased since his death.

Faye Godwin, born on February 17th 1931, was a British photographer best known for her black and white images of the British countryside. Her interest in photography began relatively late in life at the age of 35. She had no formal training, honing her skills by taking snaps of her family.
